Guess What My Juniors Did On Winter'08

Last two weeks was very hectic moment for me...it was school winter holiday in Queensland. While my darling has to attend one whole week extensive statistical analysis workshop, I need to be very creative in ensuring my two juniors have meaningful school break. I decided that my juniors should have an excursion and as well get new skills.

Well, I do not know how ideas to introduce golf to my kids spark. This winter holiday, the get a kick start to experience golf skills. May be it all starts with the influence of US Open Golf Championship... since then, my kids get so excited about golf. In fact they are with me watching the tournament in the wee hour. My younger son said ‘Tiger Wood is marvellous’ and he enjoys Wood’s putting skills. While, his big brother said ‘Woww...Wood’s tee off so powerful’. In sport history of my two kids, they got the very expensive gifts from me...they got their own golf set worth AUD$100.00(RM300.00) each. I and my darling feel very cheerful to know they’re so excited to do golfing. Just name to them golf concepts ... driver, iron, pitching, putter, eagle, par, birdie, bogey, tee-off, they got the basic. Alhamdulillah, at last our family get together the first time one chill night in winter at Oxley Driving Range during. So quite looking at Ammar when he start to practice teeing off. While his big brother really shown very interesting body posture when teeing off. They had spent four times driving at golf range during the school break, while Ariff (elder son), I took for 18 holes play at Corinda Golf Club for the first time.

Strawberry farm at Palmvile, Sunshine Coast was our family school holiday excursion this time. The location which heading to northern part of Brisbane claimed almost 90 minutes drive from Brisbane. We’re fortunate to had Sharizal’s family convoy with us to the farm. The 120km journey from Brisbane really enjoyable as the view and panorama along the way are beautiful. With TomTom navigator newly installed into my PocketPC, we’re not worry about going into wrong way. This was our first experience picking berries. The kids are so excited to picked and taste fresh berries from farm. I’m so grateful when the big brother asked me why Allah makes the strawberry red in colour! Now my son able to tell which berry is fresh and juicy. Alhamdulillah and mashAllah what are the great school winter holiday we have had. For sure, this might be the last winter in Brisbane ...
